Simeon's farewell.
So, the first night at The Cave was Christmas night, and it was a small but enthusiastic gathering. But, tonight was really the first official night where we got to see what would happen on a regular non-holiday night. It was pretty good, but there WAS a game tonight which I was not aware of until earlier in the day. If you live here, you know that this town is totally sports-nuts, and if you know me, you know that I consider Sports to be public enemy no. 2, and I hate how everything loses to sports. But, at least at The Cave there is separation of Sports & Music. Sports in the back room, Karaoke up front. But unfortunately there was still a delay. We did get to start before the game was over, but not by much. And there were a few people that were watching the game who came up front afterwards, but not many, and one who I thought would, did not. Anyway, Simeon Berkeley, is moving to Minnesota and tonight was his last night in town. See the photos below. Anyway, I decided that instead of my old policy of the Suggested Theme, I am now calling it the Featured Genre, and tonight it was Glam Rock. There was plenty of T. Rex, Bowie, Sweet, Slade, etc. I said before that I am done with recounting the highlights, so just enjoy the pictures. Next month is Soul night.
